Subject: Important Notice: Preliminary Site Works – Hedingham Medical Centre
We would like to inform you that preliminary site works will commence at the Hedingham Medical Centre site on Monday, 24th March 2025 and will continue for approximately three days, concluding on Wednesday, 26th March 2025.
These works will involve drainage works within the site boundary.
Please note: These are preliminary works only and do not represent the commencement of the main construction phase of the new medical centre, which is anticipated to start in Autumn 2025.
The purpose of these drainage works is to ensure the site is properly prepared for the main construction phase, which will begin at a later date.
We understand that you may be eager to see the full construction works begin, and we appreciate your patience. We will provide a further update with detailed information regarding the start of the main construction works well in advance.

There has been good progress on the development of the new Hedingham Medical Centre this summer.
Braintree District Council has completed the process to transfer a plot of land located in Sible Hedingham to OneMedical Property, a leading developer of healthcare properties. The land transfer will pave the way for the construction of a state-of-the-art medical centre designed to meet the healthcare needs of the local community in the future.
With planning permission and necessary approvals already secured, OneMedical Property is set to proceed with the development of a modern, purpose-built facility that will replace the three GP surgery sites currently run by the Hedingham Medical Centre. While OneMedical Property will own and manage the new building, Primary Care health services will continue to be provided by Hedingham Medical Centre.
